Howard Beggs

Group Chief Executive Officer

As co-founder of Helix Health, Howard was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company following the merger between System Solutions and Medicom Ltd. Howard is a member of the Executive Council of the Irish Software Association, a founding member and director of the Irish Healthcare IT Vendors Association and a founding member and director of HL7 Ireland, the expert healthcare messaging standards body. Howard recently completed the leadership for Growth programme in Stanford University, California and has been shortlisted twice for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards. Howard also holds an MBA from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and has just completed a Diploma in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law at the incorporated Law Society.

Nick Strong

Financial Director

Nick Strong has held positions as Finance Director with Cahill May Roberts Group PLC and as a senior finance manager with Shell International. Nick qualified as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterHouseCoopers in London and holds a degree from Cambridge University. Nick has been with the company since 2001.

Crevan O’ Malley

Sales and Marketing Manager

Crevan O’ Malley joined Helix Health in 2002 and has over 11 years experience in senior sales roles, from direct selling and sales management to business development and relationship sales. A previous Sales Manager for Dell Computers, Crevan worked in the Relationship Business Segment in the UK market. As the Sales and Marketing Manager for Helix Health, Crevan is responsible for the delivery of all corporate sales targets. He is also responsible for new market development and the overall marketing strategy, both domestic and international. Crevan holds a diploma in Business Management, an honours degree in Business Enterprise and an MBA from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Audrey Clancy

Software Development Manager

Audrey joined Helix Health in 2001 and has worked in various roles before reaching her current positions as Software Development Manager. Audrey has overall responsibility for the management of the software development department, implementing short and long term objectives to ensure that architecture and technology decisions support corporate strategies and future directions of all products in the product line. Audrey holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Maths, a higher diploma in Applied Physics and Computing and a diploma in Business Studies and IT.

Eileen Byrne

Customer Services Manager

Eileen joined the company in 1995. Eileen has worked in all areas of customer service in the organisation and her expertise is widely recognised by the customers and colleagues alike. Currently the Customer Services Manager Eileen is responsible for all services within the customer services department including implementation, training, customer support and onsite engineering services. Eileen holds a Diploma in Training and Continued Education and Management and also holds an IITL (IT Infrastructure Library) certificate which is used to aid the implementation of a framework for IT Service Management.

David Raethorne

Chief Technical Officer

David Raethorne studied Commercial Computer Programming in the Dublin Institute of Technology before he founded Systems Solutions in 1987, developing software for retail pharmacies. Since the formation of Helix Health David has played a key role in the transition of legacy DOS products onto a .net platform. He is now a non-executive director of the company and remains on in an advisory capacity, providing guidance on product and technology strategy, predominantly in the area of pharmacy.
