Peter Murray

Chairperson

With over 20 years' experience in investment, management and venture capital, Peter Murray has enjoyed an illustrious career as the former Chairman of Anglo Irish Bank Corporation Plc, and as Chief Executive and Chairman of the publicity quoted Ardagh Plc. Peter is a Chartered Accountant and holds a number of directorships in both Irish and overseas companies.

Howard Beggs

Group Chief Executive Officer

As co-founder of Helix Health, Howard was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the company following the merger between System Solutions and Medicom Ltd. Howard is a member of the Executive Council of the Irish Software Association, a founding member and director of the Irish Healthcare IT Vendors Association and a founding member and director of HL7 Ireland, the expert healthcare messaging standards body. Howard recently completed the leadership for Growth programme in Stanford University, California and has been shortlisted twice for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards. Howard also holds an MBA from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business and has just completed a Diploma in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law at the incorporated Law Society.

Nick Strong

Director

Nick Strong has held positions as Finance Director with Cahill May Roberts Group PLC and as a senior finance manager with Shell International. Nick qualified as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterHouseCoopers in London and holds a degree from Cambridge University. Nick has been with the company since 2001.

David Raethorne

Chief Technical Officer

David Raethorne studied Commercial Computer Programming in the Dublin Institute of Technology before he founded Systems Solutions in 1987, developing software for retail pharmacies. Since the formation of Helix Health David has played a key role in the transition of legacy DOS products onto a .net platform. He is now a non-executive director of the company and remains on in an advisory capacity, providing guidance on product and technology strategy, predominantly in the area of pharmacy.

Mr. Tom Kitt

Director

Former Minister for eGovernment and the Information Society, Mr. Tom Kitt was a senior politician for over 15 years. Mr. Kitts previous government roles also included Government Chief Whip, Minister of State at the Department of Foreign Affairs with special responsibility for Overseas Development Aid and Minister of State at the department of Enterprise, Trade & Employment with special responsibility for Labour, International Trade and Consumer Affairs.

Mr. John Dolan

Director

John Dolan, BComm, ACA holds a first class honours degree in Commerce from University College Dublin and is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has over ten years’ experience in corporate finance and private equity with Deloitte Corporate Finance from 1999-2004 and with NCB since 2004.
