IPHA Annual Meeting 2011

The 18th IPHA (Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association) Annual Meeting took place on the 1st December 2011 in the Aviva Stadium. The meeting, which was officially opened by Mr. Seán Sherlock T.D., Minister for Research and Innovation looked at plans to overhaul the health service and introduce a universal health insurance system based on the Dutch model. It also examined in detail how investment and innovation in the international research-based pharmaceutical industry in this country is not only a key driver of economic growth, but is also central to the best health outcomes for Irish patients, while securing value for money.
