Five-year partnership sees increasing interest in proactive health

June 15th - Leading healthcare software providers Helix Health and UK Health and wellness experts, Nuffield Health revealed today there has been a 10% year on year rise in the number of people taking part in their health assessment programmes since 2005, when the two originally joined forces. The alliance has seen more than 150,000 patients participate in health and wellness assessments in 17 of Nuffield Health’s hospitals, nine of its Fitness & Wellbeing centres and eight Medical Centres throughout the UK.

With a growing number of government, and company health initiatives and awareness programmes being adopted in the UK, more and more people are taking greater interest in their own health. Since entering into agreement with Helix Health, Nuffield Health has been able to steadily expand its health assessment product portfolio and client base.

Commenting on the partnership, Laura Kerby, Managing Director Clinical Products & Services at Nuffield Health said: “In partnership with Helix Health we have steadily evolved our assessment products so that we can offer our clients more choice, guidance and control in managing their own health. Our unique health assessment management system is in use throughout our expansive network of screening locations and fitness centres nationwide.”

Results show the health assessments are most popular with those over 40 years of age, and males. The ‘client portal’ function included in all assessments and designed by Helix Health, provides clients with access to personalised assessment reports that include lifestyle coaching tips, lab results, tailored action plans and health fact sheets.
