New Appointment for Northern Ireland and UK

Helix Health, Ireland’s leading provider of healthcare technology, has recently appointed Belfast based Johnny Ward as commercial manager for Northern Ireland and the UK. Johnny has over six years’ experience in the pharmacy automation sector and has an in-depth understanding of the pharmacy landscape in both Northern Ireland and the UK.

Commenting on the announcement, Crevan O’Malley, group commercial manager said “We are delighted to welcome Johnny to the team and while Helix Health already has a number of key clients in the UK, including some well-known businesses such as Pharmacy 2U,Tomms Pharmacy, Healthcare at Home and The Nuffield Private Hospital Group, we look forward to exploring new business opportunities through this exciting appointment.” This new appointment also coincides with Helix Health’s expansion plans following recent investment from the Ulster Bank Diageo Venture Fund. The company raised €5m of equity funding, which will be used to strengthen Helix Health’s investment in driving export sales and to facilitate further investment in R&D projects. John Dolan of NCB Ventures, which manages the fund, said: “Helix is a great example of an indigenous Irish company that has, through its commitment to R&D, developed an impressive range of market-leading technology solutions for the primary healthcare sector.”
