Helix Health now offers the Global Factories range including the Medicine Detection Machine, the compact Medicine Detection Machine and the MDM – Winder.
The Medicine Detection Machine
The Medicine Detection Machine (MDM) is a machine which helps pharmacies to check the content of medication pouches.
Advantages of the MDM:
- Medication pouches are checked accurately and at high speed
- Provides proof for the packing process
- Gives detailed information about the packing process
- Decreases need for manual checking
- Offers extra information about pouches per patient and other statistics.
Compact Medicine Detection Machine
The medicine detection product line has welcomed a new member in its family, the compact Medicine Detection Machine, also known as cMDM.
The cMDM is designed to fit the specific needs of the smaller repackers in the world; local pharmacies and hospitals. The basic technology of the MDM-system has been integrated in the compact MDM and new parts are added to make the system more convenient for the customer.
The compact MDM helps the packing centres to check the content of medication pouches.
MDM - Winder
The MDM-Winder is placed in line with the Medicine Detection Machine (MDM). The checked medication pouch strings are cut in strings per patient and wound up in easy to handle pouch rolls.
The MDM-Winder divides the rejected patient pouchrolls from the accepted pouch rolls. They are collected in a seperate box.
With the MDM-Winder, the packing process is made easier, more structured and it can save a lot of time.

We also supply a range of dispensers to hold the rolls of medicine pouches. Each dispenser presents the pouches one at a time, to be torn off along the perforation.
The Sapphire Dispenser is the smallest in the range, and will hold pouch rolls for dosages of approximately up to one week.
The Small Diamond Dispenser is also suitable for dosages up to one week. Although slightly shorter than the Sapphire Dispenser, it can hold rolls with more pouches.
Both the Sapphire Dispenser and the Small Diamond Dispenser are designed for pouch rolls of up to 100mm across.
We offer two dispensers for dosages of up to three weeks. The Jade Dispenser, and the largest in the range, the Large Diamond Dispenser, are both designed for pouches up to 145mm wide.
All our dispensers are ergonomically designed to be easy to use and have a simple to operate clicking lock system. The pouch labels are easy to read, making distribution of the pouches very clear.
The Sapphire and Jade Dispensers are available in 20 units per pack, and the Small and Large Diamond Dispensers come in packs of 18 and 12 units respectively.
